This looks very large but in reality is only about 3x5 inches. I had purchased some fancy new oil colors and wanted to try them out!

Up for fourteen hours after three hours of sleep and a seven hour plane trip, but I still got ittt. Made this palette knife painting (a first for me!) riding the high from the weekend. Power to the people.

My flight out of D.C. was cancelled due to weather, and I had to park it at a hotel for the night (that didn't have a bathtub! WTH Marriott?). So I drew my sheets. You know, like you do at hotels.

This was from the day of the Women's March on Washington. We had woken up at 6am (which was really 3am for all of us) and stood for 5 hours at the National Mall, listening to amazing women (and men) speak, and then we marched to the White House. The energy was incredible, and despite being exhausted I managed to make my daily art on a couple of bar napkins with a pen borrowed from the host stand.

If there's one thing I've learned from this project, it's that there is NO WAY IN HELL Trump's getting anything from me. You can count on that.

I recently discovered the musical artist SZA, and immediately decided I needed to draw her. I did this piece on the second leg of my flight from San Francisco to Washington DC to march on the capitol with my fellow women. Work in progress.

Riding the struggle bus today. Acrylics are not my forte, but I'm trying to work with them more. Considering taking a class...

A quote from poet Erin Hanson, wording and spelling of her name only slightly fudged - here is the actual excerpt from the poem:

“There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask "What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling,
What if you fly?”
